Marisa Lyssand is a Bay Area artist, born and raised in Menlo Park, California. You can find her current work at her studio and home + garden shop, aptly named Galerie, in downtown Palo Alto. She also takes commissions by art enthusiasts and interior designers for both residential and commercial applications.

With over thirty years working with interior and exterior garden scapes throughout the Bay Area, Marisa’s paintings reflect an undeniable inspiration from nature. Her signature Sunflowers are a contemporary take on the towering bloom, with muted background texture and strong oil pastel hand strokes that emphasize the artist’s love of the garden. Marisa uses oil and chalk pastels, paint, and acrylics. Her next project might just be born out of a leftover can of house paint.
